We provide market valuations of industrial and commercial properties and vacant land for pre-purchase/disposal, feasibility, financial reporting, and mortgage security (accepted by all major banks). Our reports provide a full market backdrop with relevant and robust comparable analysis.

We act for landlords and tenants in the matter of market rental assessments for market review, new lease purposes and internal review. We are across the latest letting activity and have experience in negotiations and expert witness/arbitrations.

The Public Works Act 1981 facilitates the process of compulsory acquisition of property by the Crown and local authorities. Both the acquiring authority and the property owner obtain valuation advice to determine the compensation payable for the land take. Settlement can be direct between owner and acquiring authority, but should the need arise our team has experience in negotiations including involvement with the Land Valuation Tribunal.

To assist in setting insurance premiums Speerstra Hart provides insurance valuation reports to satisfy the requirements of your insurer.

Daniel is a Director of Speerstra Hart and is on all the major bank panels. He covers the North Shore through to Warkworth, central Auckland predominantly in the Onehunga / Penrose industrial precinct and surrounds, and the emerging ‘North West’ areas of Hobsonville and Westgate. He also has extensive experience in West and South Auckland. He focuses on the industrial, retail, office and land markets including specialised assets such as medical, service stations and food grade / cold storage properties. Daniel completes a wide range of instructions including market valuations, rent reviews, insurance valuations and compensation valuations under the Public Works Act.  Away from the office Daniel enjoys spending time with his young family and the great outdoors.

Ed is a Director of Speerstra Hart, and a relatable professional with over a decade of experience completing valuations in the Auckland and Waikato property markets. With a passion and focus on West & South Auckland, Ed has built a wide network amongst stakeholders, and provides well respected valuations for mortgage security, disposal/acquisition, bespoke consultancy, rent review and insurance. Ed has a strong attention to detail and an ability to understand market nuances across his core markets of industrial, retail and office including specialised assets such as childcare and food grade / cold storage properties. He also undertakes residential valuations. Outside of work you will find Ed spending time with family, out in the surf or sailing in the Hauraki Gulf.

Mike is an experienced professional with 40 years experience as a valuer and consultant. Mike’s particular areas of expertise include valuations for commercial rent reviews and dispute resolution. He is an experienced arbitrator, having been appointed to act in rental disputes across a wide range of property types, including bare land, industrial, retail, office and specialised properties. He is on the Arbitration Panel for the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute NZ. Mike is an experienced valuer and mediator in relation to land and building acquisitions under the Public Works Act 1981.
